Can you plant a wood?

If you have space to plant lots of trees, support & funding is available through the Trees for Climate fund.In Cheshire, this is delivered through the Mersey Forest initiative. Their grants cover all costs associated with the creation of a new woodland, and on-going support. They will also cover hedgerows.

Contact mail@merseyforest.org.uk or: 01925 8916217.

Across Cheshire and Merseyside nearly 44ha of new woodland has been planted over the last year with over 81,000 trees planted through Trees for Climate. The target for year two of the programme is to plant over 140ha across the region by the end of March 2022.

If you have less space, consider planting a tree or two for the Queens Green Canopy  initiative.
