Kelsall picked as research site for Cambridge research
A research team in Cambridge university took an interest in Kelsall after the Neighbourhood Plan's success in allocating a site for housing for older people. In 2019 we were one of six sites nationwide for their survey into how neighbourhood planning could contribute to creating communities that foster healthy ageing.
Follow-up survey now – can you take part?
The Cambridge team is running a further study, with a focus on ageing well/creating age-friendly communities. The Public Health Research programme is interested in the most effective ways to create "age-friendly environments", and therefore improve health and wellbeing.
They want to hear from anybody over the age of 55 in the area. We have already put them in touch with local groups such as OPAL, Good Companions, and the Wellbeing Hub.
