SID is watching your speed

After lengthy and time consuming discussions with the CWAC Council, we have at last acquired and deployed our Speed Indication Device – SID. This will be moved around the village to locations where we have received reports of excessive speeding. It picks up vehicles at 150 metres and records their speed until they pass its location. It displays speeds in excess of 27 mph and records data continuously which can be downloaded for analysis. When we identify the times of day when vehicles are exceeding the speed limit we can call upon the police to deploy enforcement cameras.
